I love this tip on positivity from success magazine!!!
This gratitude exercise was inspired by joan zawoiski lewis when she found out she was dying from stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She told her family and friends: “Don’t make a fuss. Just do something nice for somebody else. Then tell me about it.” Her expected days of life turned into weeks, then months then years. She was emotionally and physically fed by all the random acts of kindness that were shared with her. Joan and her daughter created the world gratitude map where acts of kindness have been posted from around world. Joan also encouraged others to do the following exercise.
Try this gratitude exercise:
“For the next five days, do the following daily: Think of three things that happened that day for which you are grateful. Jot them down. As days pass, you may notice that you’re now on the lookout throughout the day for reasons to be grateful. You may easily come up with a dozen candidates that you’ll winnow to three for your list— and your attitude will perk up as you start to see the world in a more positive light, says jacqueline lewis, co -founder of the world gratitude map at gratitude.crowdmap.com. D.K. I am including positive and inspirational thoughts on the healthbuildingtips.com website because there is such a strong correlation between our hearts and mind. Also, happy thoughts help to strengthen our immune system. With all the negativity we are exposed to daily, I feel it is a breath of fresh air to hear something positive! May we all have a blessed day!
