These foods include everyday produce that has been sprayed with toxic herbicides and pesticides. They included processed foods such as cereals, juices, soups, sauces, vegetables oils, snack desserts, and frozen and microwave foods.
Even most meat, chicken, pork and fish has been treated with dangerous additives, or raised on inflammation-producing GMO soy or corn. Products with inflammatory ingredients now total 30,000 supermarket foods. And most restaurants use disease -promoting omega-6 vegetable oil.
Of course, we wouldn’t want to eat a food that makes us sick. But over time, these foods build up chronic inflammation in our body. And that sets the stage for arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, inflamed bowel, obesity, Alzheimer’s, and dozens more ailments”……Dr. Blaylock.
D.K. True these statistics are discouraging but please hear my heart. There is power in knowledge. Labeling is getting better and I certainly appreciate the opportunity to purchase more non-GMO foods. It makes me happy to see the wide array of organic fruits and vegetables that are offered in most grocery stores. We also have options to purchase hormone free meat and dairy. I also search for the most natural cleaning products or make my own. (Recipes will be coming!)
I really pay a lot of attention to my skin care products. Our skin is our largest organ and what we put on our bodies can penetrate internally. These are a few ways I cut down on chemical exposures. I share this because I have seen too much pain and suffering with family and friends. Hopefully something I share will improve the quality of someone’s health.
